As the schools break up for their 6 week holiday, many people are planning a get-away. We love camping with our children as it offers the chance to really spend time together, without WiFi and gadgets. We recently spent a lovely weekend at a local campsite, “Yeatheridge Farm Caravan Park”(http://www.yeatheridge.co.uk/) in Devon with a few of our friends.
It is very rare for Buzz to sit around doing nothing and camping is the only way of stopping him working on things around the house or in the Retro Tourer workshop. (Although I am sure that his mind was never far away from Retro Tourer.)
One of the families who was camping with us were explaining how they had recently had to sell their Volkswagen T4 camper as they struggled to sleep comfortably in it with their young baby. Buzz and I were surprised that even a family of 3 found space such an issue in a T4 … what they need is a Retro Tourer!
They are not the first family to chat with us and share their disappointment that “normal” modern camper vans just don’t have enough space. We are spurred on by this and can’t wait to get on with manufacture.
Here are a couple of photos from our relaxing weekend at Yeatheridge. They have a lovely, warm indoor pool with slide and also offer horse and pony rides. The food is delicious and there is a large games room so it is a great place to go, whatever the weather!
