The last Sunday of August was the date for Croyde’s annual VW Festival “Big Sunday“. It was lovely to do such a local show for us and meet some real VW enthusiasts.
We had a lot of interest in the motorhome, which sadly was not finished in time for the show.
This is a charity event and this year they were raising money for “Check yourself, don’t wreck yourself”, which was started by local lady Heather Walters who herself had breast cancer and aims to raise awareness of the importance of checking yourself early. Bob & Trina Burrows (from Braunton VW business, Resto Haus) asked for people to bring along their bras and donate £1 for the cause, with the bras to be sent to a charity after the event.
It wasn’t only VW’s, we were parked next to some awesome American hot rods…
Mabels Ices also from Braunton were there and even had blue ice cream to go with our lovely Lindy Bop outfits!
Big Sunday is a great event, even if the sun doesn’t shine and we are looking forward to supporting it again next year.
